Melbourne City Mission TIME OUT Sibling Support Group
T.I.M.E OUT stands for “This Is Me Everybody!” and is made up of supervised groups run for brothers and sisters of a child with a disability. Groups get together for fun, games, discussions, activities, art and outings.
Groups for high school students up to 16 years old run for 8 week periods at various times throughout the year in Brunswick or Broadmeadows.
At T.I.M.E Out siblings meet other young people who have a brother or sister with a disability. They have the chance to build new friendships and learn that you are not alone in their role as a sibling. This helps improve self esteem, develop a sense of identity, and better understanding and acceptance of their situation.
