Kids Who Care

Volunteering is a great way to contribute and give back to your community.

At the Kids Who Care Foundation we are always looking for motivated, caring and passionate people to volunteer on our programs.

If you dont have much or any experience in working with young people we still encourage you to apply as its a great way to gain life experiences and a good starting point for thsoe wanting to pursue further work in the youth or community sectors.

Its also a whole lot of fun and a great way to meet some pretty cool young people.

Volunteering within the Kids Who Care Foundation would see you take on a Camp Leader position at our Young Carer Camps.

As a Volunteer Camp Leader you would be required to commit to:

• attending a week long, or a weekend residential camp.
• participating in a pre camp planning meeting.
• working within a team of volunteers.

 Your role on the Young Carers Camp would include:

• encouraging young carers to particpate in camp activities.
• ensuring the safety of all camp participants.
• leading some camp activities.
• working as an active member of the leadership team.
• support other volunteer leaders in the delivery of the camp.

 The suitability of volunteers is assessed by the Young Carers Project Coordinator and a screening process generally includes:

• Interview
• Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Training
